    "content": "Madam Temporary Speaker, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Roads and Transportation on the collapse of part of a building that was meant to house the county assembly of Nyamira County. In the Statement the Committee should: (i) Explain the circumstances under which part of a building that is meant to house Nyamira County Assembly offices that was under construction collapsed on 27th May, 2021. (ii) State the steps taken by the Government agencies to ensure that thorough investigations are conducted into the incident and any persons found to be negligent be brought to book. (iii) State the measures taken by the Government to ensure that the contractors adhere to set down requirements and standards when undertaking construction to avoid repetition of collapse of buildings under construction.
