    "content": "It was further noted that governments in the region had made great strides to promote peace and security in the region. Some of the measures taken by governments of the ICGLR member states include: Commitment by heads of states to creating a conducive environment for political and economic cooperation and signed agreements to end conflicts peacefully and to attain stability and development in line with the objectives of Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework; commitment by governments, regional and international actors to work together to reduce spread of arms as well as improve resource management to curb the cross-border conflicts; improvement of bilateral relations; enhancement of security cooperation; and, encouragement of citizens to voice their concerns over the cross-border conflicts and insecurity."
