    "content": "debate. Of course, somebody in the Executive decided to remove that particular report. Up to now, whatever we recommended, if properly implemented, would have saved the taxpayers a lot of money. I know and appreciate that times are changing. Once upon a time, Kenya in this region - and I want this documented or captured – was the leading economic hub. Today, look at the GDP of the Republic of Kenya against Ethiopia and Uganda. Once upon a time, our number one trading partner was Uganda. Look at the trade deficit between Kenya and Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya and other emerging economies. Collectively as the leadership, we must stand up to promote the image of this country regardless of our political differences or anything else because this is what keeps us together as a nation, people, entity and is the only thing that collectively demonstrates that we are proud citizens of the Republic of Kenya. This Ministry, if properly managed and regulated, and of course, through this Bill, I am sure this will get the nod of everybody that we will have a professionally run Ministry. As I conclude, under the activities - and I do not know whether the Committee had time in this - we had a very important property in Brussels. Brussels is the Headquarter of the European Union, which is one of our key trading partners. I am glad that the Chairperson is also a former Minister for Internal Security. He was also a Member of the National Security Council. That particular issue or some of those things must be revisited. This is because when I see those individuals going scot free and yet they have destroyed our image in some of those critical capitals, I feel pain. Hon. Deputy Speaker, this is a great thing. Thank you very much and I am sure this Bill will enhance our image. I pray that you will get more valuable input from the Ministry and other sectors so that we can have one of the best Foreign Service Bill not only in Kenya, East Africa Community, the Horn of Africa and Africa, but in the whole world. This is what will promote our image."
