    "content": "Madam Deputy Speaker, I beg to move that pursuant to the provision of Standing Orders 14(1) of the Senate that the Coffee Bill (Senate Bills No. 22 Of 2020) be now read a Second Time. I would like to begin by thanking the Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries for the expeditious work that they have done and for their commitment throughout the process of developing this Bill. I also wish to thank the members of the public who gave us vital information and who responded when we advertised for public participation and gave us vital information that helped us to build this Bill and fashion amendments which I will be moving later in the course of this process. Members of the public and stakeholders in particular wanted this Bill to encompass their involvement. They wanted to be involved in all the institutions and all the structures that are going to be created by this Bill. The Standing Committee on Agriculture Livestock and Fisheries, which I chair, is preparing amendments to capture the views of stakeholders in the Bill."
