    "content": "Over the past nine years, the only amount of compensation which has been paid is only Kshs1.7 billion whereas the claims amount to more than Kshs5 billion. So, the Budget and Appropriations Committee needs to look at this matter so that people are paid on time. The other point is that KWS needs to get serious because when people lodge their claims, they are not being told why the claims are rejected. We have to follow up and find out if there are small errors in the claims leading to their rejection. So, I wish to support the Petition and urge the Committee to look into the matter further.
