Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, the Bill be amended in clause 60 by – (a) renumbering the existing provision as subsection (1); (b) inserting the following new subsections immediately after the existing subsection- (2)A private party that executes a contract under subsection (1) shall commence the project within twelve months from the date of execution of the contract. (3) If the private party fails to commence the project in accordance with subsection (2), the contracting authority shall terminate the contract and no liability shall be attached to the contracting authority or the Government.
