This is an important Bill to our Kenyan society and the people that actually value the issue of supporting social capital. It is important because it will safeguard and put in place regulations that are necessary in managing Waqf. This House needs to know that Waqf was started around 670 A.D., that is, about 1,400 or 1,500 years ago. Waqf has been a contributor to societal building.
