"content": " Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I see merit in the amendment, but I find it difficult to support it for the following reason. With the mood we have set the House in, where we are literary angling to strangle every amendment, then all we are trying to do is to extend time and run over the business before the House. In my view, we should stick to the time as set out in the Standing Orders. But I want to urge this House that we relook at the Constitution of Kenya Review (Amendment) Act 2008, and take time out, and retrace our steps to see whether we are headed the right direction or not. I fear that all the energy, all the brains we have put in this process is cascading down the drain, because of our mob behaviour. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I urge that we do not sit tomorrow morning, but rather we restart looking at the act and see how best to put this back on the rails so that wherever we have gone wrong, we can correct and achieve a Constitution for this country."
