"content": " Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I thank the Chairman, the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security, for the response. However, the last time we were with the Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Matiangi, in Tot with all the leaders from the region, namely, West Pokot, Elgeyo Marakwet and Baringo counties, he agreed to send a special deputy county commissioner (DCC) to Tot to take care of the issues in the region. However, we were surprised to see last week that instead of sending a special DCC, a curfew has been enforced from 6.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. So, we are still requesting that that special DCC and a police station that has been mentioned by the Chairman be done quickly. They can even set up a police post initially using tents, so that security is restored. Otherwise, so far, we are happy that for the last one week, there has been relative peace in the area. I thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker."
