"content": " Apparently, Hon. Deputy Speaker, I was the Medical Officer of Health (MoH) in Marakwet and I know the place very well. This issue of cattle rustling has been there for a while. I thank the Chairman, Departmental Committee on Administration and Security for the response he has given. However, there is a police station at a place called Mokil, and at times, you find that they have challenges when it comes to patrolling using vehicles. So, when the lease agreement for vehicles is renewed, it is good to enhance that place with more vehicles, so that you can enable officers to trace the cattle rustlers especially in cases where they are still following up the cattle that were stolen. Following up cattle that have been stolen for more than two weeks is a very long time and recovering them is a challenge. The Government also needs to put in place measures to ensure that people keep cows for wealth creation in areas such as those. How do you support those whose cattle has been stolen and that is the only livelihood they had? We must have measures that can support them. Maybe by giving them some breeds that cannot be stolen and taken to hardship areas, we can assist them. I thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker."
