    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for the opportunity to contribute to this proposed amendment. I oppose this amendment Bill. I think the framers of the Constitution had valid reason why what we are proposing to amend now was put in our current Constitution. I have listened to Members who have spoken to this proposed amendment. There are merits to the proposed amendment, but also, the law as it is today, has also has a reason. When the list is submitted before elections, voters have an opportunity to look at it and sometimes, decide on the basis of that list, to either support or not support a particular political party."
