    "content": "I support the amendment because if the list comes after the elections there will be due consideration of the strong candidates who would have shown that they are politically capable to represent or be representatives of the people in this House. When the list is given after elections the party will be in a position to look at the Members who have been elected on their ticket and to identify any gaps or strengths that might be missing from the membership. The party then has an opportunity to say, for example, it needs a lawyer and out of the elected Members, it does not have a lawyer. They will have an opportunity to nominate a lawyer so that a lawyer can be part of its representation in Parliament. If the list is given before elections, the party will not have such an opportunity."
