"content": " Thank you Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I stand to support this amendment and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Minister for bringing together the relevant stakeholders in actually achieving this particular amendment which is acceptable to many of the key stakeholders. However, just like the rest of the amendments this morning and this afternoon, it is not likely to see the light of day. At this juncture, really, Kenyans require of us, as leaders, to take leadership in this process. But from the trend, I do not think we are standing up to that. We do not even raise the necessary numbers to make a decision on crucial amendments which are being moved by our colleagues. If we pull up the House to have the numbers that are required, at least, Kenyans will see that we are really serious and that we are actually participating and taking leadership in this process. But now, Kenyans clearly see that parliamentarians actually are not interested in the Constitution."
