"content": "On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. We have been told by the President and the Prime Minister to pass this Constitution as it is. The people of Kenya say they are tired and that we should pass this Constitution as it is. The reason why the Attorney-General is generating some controversy is that he is a member of the CoE, which is saying that we should pass this Constitution as it is. Now he is telling us that there is something which needs to be amended. Therefore, this document did require some amendments. But you see how this has developed. Hon. Members are asking, if you did not really wish us to amend it, why put us through the trouble of going through it? Can you not see what is happening? When it comes to voting people are walking out to deny you that critical 145 so that it is passed as is desired. So, really it is quite improper for the Attorney-General to also take us through this."
