    "content": "It is against this background that I seek for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing on the following: (i) Why are the contractors not complying with the law of rehabilitating ground that has been interfered with? (ii) When are the gaping holes in Mukware and Indori areas in Mumias East Constituency going to be rehabilitated? (iii) When are the families that lost their loved ones going to be compensated by the contractor for not meeting the contractual obligations? (iv) What safety measures and regulatory frameworks has the Government put in place to ensure that contractors comply with safe quarry operations?
