I would like to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government the following Question: (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain the steps being taken by the Government to address frequent community conflicts occurring in Arid and Semi-Arid regions of the country, which have caused deaths, destruction of properties and resulted in a significant increase in the number of orphans and widows and rise in poverty levels in the said areas? (ii) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain why Kenya Police Reservists were withdrawn in most of the said areas?"
