    "content": " Thank you very much, Hon. Speaker. The Petition is valid as far as I am concerned. It is an issue that has put us into a serious situation. Wajir South, particularly Habaswein Sub-county, last week lost about seven elders because of this variant. Many others are currently in the intensive care unit. It is a challenge. It is an issue that we really need to address head on. The petitioner has validly argued the case that this is an issue that must be taken as a national matter. Therefore, as we mourn the people we lost throughout the years when COVID-19 has been here, the variants are getting more serious. I would have gone into a scientific matter but this is just a matter of comments. The variant or the genome in itself is something that is changing quite rapidly.
