    "content": "The Constitution requires the National Assembly to appoint this person. The appointment of the external auditor is to provide an external audit service for the financial statements and Report of the Auditor-General, which is a fundamental pillar in promoting an assurance and independence of the Office of the Auditor-General. This Report provides an audit service for the Financial Statement for the Financial Years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020. In fact, for the Auditor- General to be audited by an external auditor appointed by the National Assembly, a House of the people’s representatives, more credence and powers is given that the Office of the Auditor- General is indeed an independent office. That independence is given more credibility by what we are doing this afternoon."
