    "content": "We had an opportunity to be in Dubai, and Madam Deputy Speaker, you were also there. What we discovered is that even if we took our students from here to go and work in Dubai or any other country outside this country, our qualifications from technical colleges are not up to standard. They will still have to look for another sub-college to educate our students who are already educated. Just like if we educate our doctors and teachers, they may not be able to compete with other nations. However, we should work on our standards. During that time, we also met a gentleman who runs some colleges known as KENEMA. This KENEMA is entrusted with helping our students who are already trained in our polytechnics and our TVETs to bring them to a level that is acceptable in other countries. We should not be thinking of taking our children to the technical colleges out there. We cannot compare Kenya to Uganda or Rwanda. This is because those two countries have developed their own TIVET colleges. Their diplomas and technical courses are much better than ours."
