The first Petition is by Linda Munyao and other Members of the Environment Institute of Kenya (EIK) regarding the introduction to the Senate of the proposed Environment Institute of Kenya Bill. Hon. Senators, I hereby report to the Senate that a Petition has been submitted to the Senate by Ms. Linda Munyao, Chairpersion of the EIK, concerning a proposed introduction to the Senate, of the Environment Institute of Kenya Bill. As you are aware, Article 119(1) of the Constitution states that- “Every person has a right to petition Parliament to consider any matter within its authority, including enacting, amending or repealing any legislation.”"
