I rise to ask the following Question to the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Planning: (i) What is the current amount of the country’s total debt, both domestic and external? (ii) Could the Cabinet Secretary provide a breakdown of the total amount of funds that the country has borrowed both domestically and externally since independence, indicating the amount borrowed under and during the term of each of the previous and current Presidents? (iii) What plans has the Government put in place towards ensuring that its debt levels, particularly the external debts, are maintained at manageable levels?"
