    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Finance with respect to the liquidity situation in the country alongside external borrowing particularly from the World Bank. In the Statement I wish the Minister to clarify the following:- (i)The terms and conditions of the extended credit facilities which were recently approved by the World Bank in Nairobi. (ii)When did the Government borrow the Kshs50 billion and what was the inflation rate by then and to confirm whether the conditions of borrowing are similar to the current borrowing of the Kshs25 billion. (iii)To what extent will the inflation be contained if this amount is injected into the country’s foreign exchange reserve? (iv)Which economic policies and reforms does the Minister intend to put in place in order to maintain micro-economic stability and promote economic growth while ensuring debt sustainability. (v)Up to what extent will the country be overburdened by such borrowing? Thank you."
