Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 20 of the Bill be amended− (a) in paragraph (a) by deleting the word “ten” and substituting therefore the word “one”; and; (b) in paragraph (b), by deleting the word “ten” and substituting therefor the word “one”. The amendment seeks to reduce the penalty for the offences of making false statements or impersonation to Kshs1 million so as to ensure that there is a difference in the penalty prescribed for individuals and for health facilities. Initially, individuals in health facilities were also being charged Kshs10 million. I beg to move."
