The ruling in early 2008 on the sitting arrangement for the Frontbenches was predicated upon a situation or scenario in which most or all Cabinet Ministers on the Government side were in the House. In the event, as it is today, in which case there is room on the other side, the Chair will not entertain anymore Members of the Government side answering Questions or addressing the House from the left hand side of the Chair."
