Maybe it is a challenge to us as legislators because we have not provided further legislation on the role of petitions and their place in Parliament and in the county assemblies. It is something that we can think about; what is it that we can legislate that will guide people to know, what is the kind of issue that you can petition a county assembly? What is better handled by the National Assembly? What is better handled by the Senate so that we give proper direction to the citizens. Otherwise, over time we will find ourselves with all these roles that are overlapping. Good luck to him. I wish him well as we consider his Petition.
