Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I support that amendment because historically, the previous sugar board is on record as having lost hundreds of millions of shillings by depositing funds in the collapsed Euro Bank. We should curtail that kind of behaviour. In fact, if the Board has a fund levy, it is supposed to be utilised by the sugar sector. Where will they get surpluses from? If they create surpluses, it will mean that they are not delivering the services. We should not give them any leeway to invest that money in anything."
