"content": "(Nandi CWR, JP) Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I support the first petitioner on the National Prayer Day. The Holy Bible in 1st Thessalonians 5:17 calls upon us to pray without ceasing. Similarly in Jeremiah 33:3, it says “Call unto me and I will answer you. I will show you great and mighty things which you do not know”. Therefore this nation needs prayer. There are many things that have happened in Kenya and, as a prayerful woman, we need to call upon God. We do not just pray those written prayers. We need prophets to give us direction concerning this nation. In 365 days, we can give God just one day. He is the creator of the universe. He owns our lives and the entire nation, and so I support. Secondly, I support the petition on teachers. They have invested Kshs.39 billion. The CBK should assist our teachers. They are doing good to our children and we need to come to their assistance at such a time as this, when COVID-19 is ravaging the country. I thank you, Hon. Speaker."
