There are regulations that are awaiting gazettement. The regulations on strategic reserves should be gazetted. The issue of storage capacity should be looked at, so that we can have a reserve of 30 to 60 days. In case of a global pandemic like the one we have experienced, we will be able to survive. The Committee Members looked at this matter, not just as legislators, but as representatives of the people. The Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning struck a balance.
