"content": "For example, in Japan, 95 per cent of the debt is owned by Japanese companies or wealthy high net worth individuals, mainly elderly people who are not in a hurry to keep on investing here and there and do not want risk-averse investments. They will not call the debts any time soon. This is because most of it is owned by Japanese families in perpetuity. However, in this country, on the contrary, most of the debts are owned by foreign nationals and corporations, and the interest rates are exorbitant."
