    "content": "Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker. I rise pursuant to Standing Order 48(1) on behalf of Sen. Seneta who we all know is bereaved, to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries on the status of operationalization of the Isinya Tannery in Kaputiei North Ward, Kajiado County. In the Statement, the Committee should – (1) State the level of operationalization of the Isinya Tannery in Kaputiei North Ward, Kajiado County. (2) Provide a report on the feasibility study done before construction of the project. (3) Give the expected date of completion of the project stating the amount of public funds allocated to the construction of the project from commencement to date. (4) State measures, if any, that the county government has put in place to engage farmers in the country to take advantage of the imminent income earning opportunities in the tannery. (5) Disclose the terms of engagement between the county government and the contractor on project handover and maintenance of the tannery (6) State the measures put in place by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives in enhancing the production and sale of the quality hides and skins in the country stating the location and status, functionality of the tannery in the county."
