I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.48 (1), to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare regarding delayed staff salaries and other unfair labour practices by the Bomet Water and Sanitation Company Limited (BOMWASCO). In the Statement, the Committee should (1)State why salaries of workers of the BOMWASCO have not been paid for several months. (2)Inform the Senate the reasons for termination of contracts of some staff of the water company and whether due process was followed in terminating contracts of the affected staff."
