    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have said clearly that we have resources from the Exchequer, amounting to about Kshs15 billion, intended for enhancing the transmission and distribution networks, which involves the Rural Electrification Authority (REA), which, as we are all aware, is about Kshs5 billion, as well as generation. Last year, we voted about Kshs5 billion to geothermal companies. So, if we say that we are going to use Exchequer money only to fund the existing transmission lines, we will not be able to improve connectivity from 20 per cent to the required standard or even to 100 per cent. Currently, our connectivity is at 20 per cent."
