"content": "Madam Deputy Speaker, I was with teachers from my county. One of the things that has angered teachers - and I am sure it is the case in all our counties - is the fact that they are now being told that every five years, they must go for a compulsory course to train, using their own money and get that qualification to retain their status as a TSC teacher. Why would you pick teachers to go through that process yet you do not pick university lecturers, college tutors, engineers or doctors? You make it compulsory for them to use their own money to train themselves and it is conditioned on their status as teachers. It is terrible."
