    "content": "When the price of a bag of fertilizer escalates to over Kshs4,000, we are actually declaring that Kenya shall become a food relief country throughout, yet we can manage this and ensure that our people have food. Lack of food can affect health in terms of growth of children because we normally talk about having a balanced diet. Farmers have given up because there are no fertilizers. The issue of fertilizers has been a thorn in the flesh. This is one of the issues that we have been speaking about. We have been saying that taxes should be lowered to ensure that fertilizers and other farm implements are received in this country at an affordable price."
