"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to tell my colleague, Mr. C. Kilonzo that by March, 2011, we will have put in place the geothermal plants. We are buying what we call âwell heatsâ. After drilling one well, we are able to generate about five to ten megawatts instantly. In our projection, we will have put about 60 megawatts to our grid by December, therefore, relieving us the use of emergency power. Mr. Speaker, Sir, the VAT is negligible. It is levied on the fixed charges and any consumption which is above 200 units. Therefore, it is not a major element in the billing. The major element is the fuel cost and that is what we are targeting. We will look into his proposal on solar energy products because it is good."
