I urge some of our honourable ladies who may be having a small contestation on the issue of gender to understand that the proliferation of commissions in this country does not work in their interest. In fact, it works to counter efforts they have tried to make. Let us mainstream issues of women, the youth, the marginalised and people living with disabilities. Rather than proliferate them, let us mainstream them so that they can be tackled on the high table. That is what this Bill seeks to do by bringing the commissions created under Article 59 of the Constitution under one roof."
