    "content": "I led a team of Members of a sub-committee appointed by the Committee on Friday, 9th July 2021, to conduct an inspection visit to the London Distillers Kenya (LDK) plant. During the visit, we met the management of the LDK, representatives of NEMA, Edermann Properties and the representative of the Member of Parliament of the area. Our objective was basically to see for ourselves the level or the extent of implementation of the recommendations of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. We also had a number of meetings and we wrote a sub-committee report which was adopted by the main Committee on various issues that we went to interrogate."
