    "content": "incumbent upon those bodies, particularly LDK, to look at the matters that came from the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources and implement them to the letter. One of them was to come up with state-of-the-art remedies of cleaning their waste. When we visited LDK, in their own wisdom, they accepted that the implementation levels have not been done to the letter as it was directed by the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. In our own charitable means, we gave them more time to look at those issues so that we do not fall back to a similar situation in a few years to come. The efforts by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) to sanitise LDK fell on deaf ears because this is a Committee that wanted everything to be done according to the Report of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. In the interest of time, LDK must in the interim adhere to the recommendations and the Report of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources."
