    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, allow me to note that on this issue, the committee is very keen to ensure that we seriously unbundle the mandate and responsibilities of the AFA to ensure that we have proper focus on each of the food and cash crops along all the value chains in agriculture. (3) A county visit to Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, to meet with seed farmers with regard to the petition concerning the plight of seed farmers in Trans Nzoia County. (4) A report writing retreat on the Irrigation (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bills No.12 of 2021). Lastly, Mr. Speaker, Sir, on that Bill that has been brought to the committee, I want to assure this House and this country that this is the future of irrigation farming. The committee will look into this Bill to make sure that whatever we do, we put the farmer at the centre of the conversations. I thank you."
