Speaker, I beg to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Education the following Question: (i) What steps is the Ministry taking to ensure that children from pastoralist communities in Arid and Semi-Arid Land (ASAL) areas get equal access to education similar to the quality available in the rest of the country? (ii) What is the Ministry doing to ensure that school dropout rates in ASAL areas are minimised and that the girls in those areas are shielded from discriminative learning opportunities that stem from cultural biases that hinder their right to education?"
