    "content": " Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I beg to move: THAT, the Asian Widows’ and Orphans’ Pensions (Repeal) Bill, be now read a Second Time. This Bill was published in June 2021 and it is one of those Bills that emanate from the need to clean up our laws. I know it has been committed to the Departmental Committee on Finance and Planning. They have looked at it, what I am not sure is whether we have a report on it. It was advertised for public participation in September. I doubt if anyone made any views to it. I have actually not seen the report of the Committee. I just want to caution that because earlier on we had a discussion that we may not conclude the debate until a report has been tabled. I want to move it, have it on the Floor of the House and then the Committee will advise us on what to do with it."
