Members, ladies and gentlemen, given that we have doubled our GDP in a record eight years, it is no wonder that Kenya is projected to grow twice as fast as the sub-Saharan economies in the period 2021/2022. And this is all because of leadership and the power of choice. Allow me to give further examples of acceleration and the multiplication of our fundamentals as a strategic intent of my administration. A case in point is that as we have doubled our real GDP, we have also doubled our road network across the entire Republic. Besides the road’s infrastructure, my administration has made the largest infrastructure project in a century, with the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR)."
