    "content": "It is true that we anticipated to start debate on the Political Parties (Amendment) Bill this evening but it was subject to the Committee tabling its Report. Communication has been made from the Chair to the effect that we will not start debate on the Bill until Members receive copies of the Report. We were conscious of that fact. We knew that the period for public participation will end today, at 5.00 p.m. Thereafter, the Committee is supposed to retreat and prepare its Report as we deal with other business. We anticipated that we would start transacting on this business today. We have two minutes remaining to 5.00 p.m. but the Committee needs some time to put together its Report and bring it to the House."
