Members, let me take this opportunity to, on behalf of the House and on my own behalf, congratulate the Members who have been conferred with state honours and awards by His Excellency the President. It was during the recent Jamhuri Day celebrations, in recognition of their distinguished and outstanding service rendered to the nation. Please join me, Hon. Members, in congratulating the following Members who were awarded the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS): (i) The Chairperson of the Select Committee on National Government Constituencies Development Fund, who is the Member for Kanduyi, Hon. Athanas Wafula Wamunyinyi. (ii) The Chairperson of the Select Committee on Members’ Services and Facilities, who is the Member for Nyaribari Masaba, Hon. Ezekiel Machogu Ombaki. (iii) The Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, who is the Member for Kangema, Hon. Clement Muturi Kigano.
