    "content": "Yes, Madam Deputy Speaker. You start and finish in the same language. Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker. As I was saying, I take this opportunity to thank the 12 or so Senators who participated in the debate of the Budget Policy Statement (BPS), and more so, the Senators who have spent time and voted for the Motion. Just like most the Senators have said, this is one of the most crucial debates or legislation that the Senate needs to pass. As I conclude, I ask that when we go out there, lobbying must be done. Sen. Olekina, Justice Madzayo and others we need to lobby that the Government listens to us, that we need Kshs485 billion. Sen. Wetangula, we want to send you to tell the principals wherever you meet them that the Senate for once would want Kshs485 billion to go to counties. Let us not have a debate when we come to the Dollar. It is something that we have made a resolve and I pray that when time comes, we will all stand up and defend our last chance to ensure that funds get to the devolved entities. Madam Deputy Speaker, having said that, I wish my fellow Senators, the Secretariat and those who have been working with us more so the people of Kirinyaga County and my fellow Kenyans, a Merry Christmas and a very rewarding 2022. I would also say that come next year - like somebody has wished us - next December, I think I will be the Governor of Kirinyaga County. I thank you."
