The system will not be structured to ensure that those procuring are safeguarded. There is going to be malpractice if only one organization is doing the procurement. Transparency and accountability will be comprised and this should not be the case. There is need for the Senate to ensure that there is transparency and accountability in the procurement of drugs. We need to allow other organizations to come up so that they improve on the quality of drugs they are providing to hospitals. The Constitution is very clear that the health of Kenyans is a right."
