"content": " Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order No. 76, seeking the indulgence of the House to make a Personal Statement on a news item titled: âKosgey says she was denied visa over the Ndungâu Report.â This was carried in todayâs editionof The Standard Newspaper. The misleading statement is purported to have been said by myself during my contribution to the Presidential Speech yesterday. I wish to set the record straight. I did not say that I have been denied a visa over the Ndungâu Report or for any other reason. The HANSARD recording of yesterdayâs House proceedings will bear me witness and I quote:- âMost of us are constantly put in a position where we feel that we need to explain ourselves because we do not know what is in the Ndungâu Report. Did he interview the person he has accused of this and that? I have tried at some point in the past to apply for a visa and I was told that I am in the Ndungâu Report for having been given land in Athi River which I never got. Somebody else got the title and sold the land.â Mr. Speaker, Sir, as you can see, I did not say that I have been denied a visa. The mere fact that clarifications are sought always by embassies does not mean a denial. For"
