"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to comment on the issue of Constitution. It is now over 20 years since people started fighting for it. I have been a member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Constitutional Review and all parties and interested individuals have been incorporated in that PSC on behalf of the political elite. We have reached a compromise and that is a good spirit for the future. It might not be a perfect Constitution, but it is the beginning for better things to work. Let us not hoodwink the nation. Let us approve what we have and improve it later. These are things that will take Kenya forward. But to come here and start now inciting other people to oppose it, I want to assure you that this is a diversion. This is scheme to be able to change the good gains. There is a clear separation of power between the Executive, Judiciary and Legislature. Let us support it and get this thing forward to get a new Constitution."
