    "content": "That, on 5th February, 2018, the deceased received information about illegal encroachment by developers on Kiambu gazetted forest land which borders wetland and single-handedly confronted the developers who were constructing an illegal road. That, preliminary investigations by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation had established that Ms. Stutchbury might have been murdered due to her strong position and passion for the preservation of environment of Kiambu Forest area against the will of illegal developers who wanted to construct a road to gain access to their illegally acquired properties. As I conclude it is my pleasure to Table the report of the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relation in regard to the Petition of the alleged murder of the environmentalist Ms. Joannah Stutchbury."
