    "content": "(iii) The Agricultural Sector Support Programme, which is funded by NANIDA: The project started in 1999. It covers seven ASAL districts; namely, Kitui, Makueni, Taita Taveta, Kwale, Kilifi, Mwingi and Malindi. This programme is mainly focused on crops and livestock production and, more so, on building capacity of the target farmers within the communities. The other objective of the ASPS project is to ensure sustainable management of soil, water, vegetation and animal resource in the related focal development areas."
